Dr. Staninec

Dr. Staninec received a BA in biochemistry from UC Berkeley in 1974, his DDS from UCSF in 1980, then spent one year in Japan as a researcher in dental materials and operative dentistry. Since 1982 he has been maintaining a private practice in San Francisco while teaching restorative dentistry at UCSF on a half time basis. Having retired from UCSF in 2015, he is Clinical Professor Emeritus in the Department of Preventive and Restorative Dental Sciences, doing some research consulting and an occasional lecture. In 1999 he received his PhD in Medical Sciences with a thesis in restorative dentistry from the University of Nijmegen in Holland. He has authored and co-authored 70 articles in peer-reviewed journals and lectured on restorative dentistry in the US, Japan and Europe. His research interests include optical diagnosis of early decay, laser interactions with teeth and materials, dental adhesion, conservative restorative techniques, clinical testing of adhesive techniques, secondary caries, and effects of fatigue on dentin. He is a Fellow of the Academy of Dental Materials, Academy of Dentistry International, and past president of the Dental Materials Group Chapter of the American Association for Dental Research. Dr. Staninec enjoys clinical dentistry, and in his spare time enjoys kayaking and bluegrass music.

Haydee Mojica Campos, DDS was born and raised in the Philippines. She immigrated to the US in 1988 and attended San Francisco State University. Later, she obtained her DDS from the University of California, San Francisco, where Dr. Staninec was one of her instructors. She has been practicing with him for over 20 years and has greatly enjoyed getting to know her patients. Dr. Mojica lives in SF with her husband and their teenage son. As a family, they love travel, biking and skiing. During the pandemic, she baked/cooked with friends on Zoom, knitted a few cardigans and binge-watched The Sopranos. She is so happy to be back at work seeing patients.

Patricia (Trish) Mayer RDH Received a degree in Dental Hygiene in Education from Ohio State University in 1970.  Completed courses in Nitrous Oxide Sedation,  Root Planing and Curettage and Local Anesthesia from University of the Pacific in 1980. Practiced dental hygiene in Cleveland ,Ohio and  St. Thomas, V.I.  before coming to San Francisco and  working  with  Art  Werner D.D.S. for 28 years.  She is a member of the National Dental Hygiene Association, and the Redwood component of the California Dental Hygiene Association.

Dr. Jared Hall grew up exploring the Wasatch mountains where he fell in love with fly fishing, skiing, and camping. He loves working with his hands – tying flies, framing house projects, and even building his own banjo which he still plays. Dr. Hall also lived in Japan for two years and loves speaking Japanese whenever he can.

He has a delicate touch and keen eye for detail which helped him develop remarkable foundational skills while studying dentistry at UOP. That is also where he discovered a love for innovation, and a desire to provide the best long lasting solutions for his patients.

Dr .Hall is compassionate, charismatic, and has a strong desire to connect with everyone he meets.

Dr. Ryan Reyes is a native of the San Francisco Bay Area. In addition to periodontal specialty services, Dr. Reyes also provides treatment for dental implants and oral surgery. For the past 11 years, Dr. Reyes has been providing surgical services to dental offices in the greater bay area. Dr. Reyes has an experienced surgical support team who travels with him, who focuses on providing the highest quality treatment and outcomes within the comfort of the patient’s own dental office. Dr. Reyes’ surgical support team is there for his patients from the initial consultation through post treatment, available to assist his patients 24 hrs a day.

Dr. Reyes strongly believes in innovative techniques that increase his patient’s comfort. He is a pinhole certified periodontist, which is a scalpel free procedure to correct gum recession. Dr. Reyes stays abreast of the latest innovations in periodontics and oral surgery by attending numerous advanced continuing education courses.

Prior to dental school, Dr. Reyes was a veterinary assistant, as he has a love for animals. Outside the dental office, Dr. Reyes enjoys yoga and holistic medicine. When he is not seeing patients, you can often find him in the water surfing, enjoying everything the beautiful California beaches have to offer.
