Dr. Staninec

Dr. Staninec received a BA in biochemistry from UC Berkeley in 1974, his DDS from UCSF in 1980, then spent one year in Japan as a researcher in dental materials and operative dentistry. Since 1982 he has been maintaining a private practice in San Francisco while teaching restorative dentistry at UCSF on a half time basis. Having retired from UCSF in 2015, he is Clinical Professor Emeritus in the Department of Preventive and Restorative Dental Sciences, doing some research consulting and an occasional lecture. In 1999 he received his PhD in Medical Sciences with a thesis in restorative dentistry from the University of Nijmegen in Holland. He has authored and co-authored 70 articles in peer-reviewed journals and lectured on restorative dentistry in the US, Japan and Europe. His research interests include optical diagnosis of early decay, laser interactions with teeth and materials, dental adhesion, conservative restorative techniques, clinical testing of adhesive techniques, secondary caries, and effects of fatigue on dentin. He is a Fellow of the Academy of Dental Materials, Academy of Dentistry International, and past president of the Dental Materials Group Chapter of the American Association for Dental Research. Dr. Staninec enjoys clinical dentistry, and in his spare time enjoys kayaking and bluegrass music.

Haydee Mojica Campos, DDS Dr. Mojica was born and raised in the Philippines but San Francisco has been her home since she moved here with her family in 1988. She was working on her degree in Microbiology when she got accepted to dental school. She obtained her D.D.S. from the University of California, San Francisco in 1997 and joined the practice in 1999.She is fluent in Tagalog.

Patricia (Trish) Mayer RDH Received a degree in Dental Hygiene in Education from Ohio State University in 1970.  Completed courses in Nitrous Oxide Sedation,  Root Planing and Curettage and Local Anesthesia from University of the Pacific in 1980. Practiced dental hygiene in Cleveland ,Ohio and  St. Thomas, V.I.  before coming to San Francisco and  working  with  Art  Werner D.D.S. for 28 years.  She is a member of the National Dental Hygiene Association, and the Redwood component of the California Dental Hygiene Association.

Dr. Hoda Hai Dr. Hai graduated from the University at Buffalo with her D.D.S. degree in 2015. She then continued her education with an AEGD residency in general dentistry at the University of California Los Angeles. She is currently a second year resident in her specialty program at the University of California San Francisco in Periodontics. She plans to graduate in July 2019 specializing in rehabilitation of the gums and teeth-supporting bones.

Nora Ye Nora is the clinical assistant who also takes care of instruments, sterilization, supplies, and some clinical and laboratory procedures. She is a native of Guangzhou, China, and speaks fluent Cantonese, Mandarin and Tayshenese.

Michelle Michelle is originally from Southern California, where she started her career in dentistry. Her 20 years of experience include an orthodontic practice and managing a multi-location practice. She is very knowledgeable in all administrative aspects of dentistry, including insurance benefits. She is eager to assist our patients with convenient scheduling and financial management. When she is not working, Michelle enjoys spending time with her three beautiful children and takes care to keep her life in balance.
